Privacy policy
Last updated
This policy explains what personal data L8O (“we”, “us”) collects through l8o.tech, why, and what your rights are. We keep this deliberately short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Contact form. When you send a message we receive the name, email address, optional company name and message you type. We also store a salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to 26 hours to prevent abuse, and a truncated browser user-agent string.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase) keeps standard request logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
No analytics cookies. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not load third-party tracking scripts. We review aggregate search performance through Google Search Console, which does not identify individual visitors.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss working together (our legitimate interest in responding to requests you make).
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
Where it is stored and for how long
Contact submissions are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and delivered to our mailbox by email. We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and delete them when they are no longer relevant. Rate-limiting records expire automatically within 26 hours.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. It is processed by our infrastructure providers (Google Cloud / Firebase for hosting and storage; our email provider for delivery) under their respective data-processing terms. We do not share it with anyone else unless required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. To exercise these rights, or to ask any question about this policy, contact us at office@l8o.org.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date above.
